Lately I have been having some computer shutdowns.I have no virus as far as I know Yesterday It shut down on me 3 times.I have wxp-sp2 emachine 3050.If this helps-the computer shuts down and then a siren goes off and will not stop til I turn the power off.Please help.I can't afford right now to buy another one.I can send a log if you need it. Yea thats the problem i had before my power supply fried and took out the motherboard. You still have a chance to change that PSU though.
I would go with this PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104952 FSP has a far better reputation than thermaltake when it comes to powersupplies and it is only $37. Hopefully motherboard damage hasn't already occured.
What are the specs on that PSU? Newegg's site is currently having problems; I can't view the page. It wouldn't show me the page when I tried to search for something, either.
