    Hi!

Does anyone know why my POP3 setting would change when I restart my computer? I have Outlook Express and my mail server is sbcyahoo. My POP 3 setting changes from sbcyahoo to a number.

I only noticed this because I wasn't receiving my email, so I checked the settings.

    Thanks!!

depends. Some email scanners operate as a proxy like this
    Code:
proxy opens real postoffice (say xyz.domain.com port 110)
          +
          + opens local port ( 127.0.0.1 port 10110)
                                                 |
install modifies your email client to open --+

your email client will then show pop3 server = 127.0.0.1 port 10100
and the smtp may also be change *if* you scan outgoing email
