expresscard to PCIe adapter

  1. my laptop has a espresscard54 slot and i would like to get an adapter to connect a PCI express video card. i am looking for somthing that will cost $200 or less

    I've seen a few adapters like your asking, but they are kinda hard to find, and run about $600-700+ Asus is making the XG station soon supposedly, which will likely be less than $700, but I don't really know what pricing will be, but I'd guess still above $200. Also, using an expresscard to pci-e setup reduces the pci-e bandwidth to pci-e x1, so there's no real point to using a really high end card, since the single pci-e lane will be a bottleneck. Most any pci-e x16 card will be better than integrated though....
