Extended Extention Problem

Hi guys,

I have a problem. I dl abt 39 files with the format of 001, 002 etc. I found out they were HJSplit bits and used the program to lump them up. I got a 500mb file with the extension of xxxFile. I have no idea what the hell it is.
Then i read your forums and tried to unrar with Winrar the big file only to be stumped by "you need .x00 to contiune extraction."
then i tried to winrar the bits; only to be told that there are 7 files corrupted and hence unable to retrieve the .bin file. One important observation here was that when i did it, WinRar kept retrieving from the files. Like it runs through the whole set and it would have only complete 3% of the job. then it runs thru them again. I didnt wait to see it complete. Shld i?

In any case, pls help me to unpack. I'm really frustrated. And yes, the bin file in the bits is about 600 mb and when i lump it, its just 587 mb to be exact. Is it wrong?
