    Quite right - I had missed out the space after sfc . Pleased to say I now have IE 7 with latest Java installed. The Windows Verification & Installer 3.1 would not upload when I went to tools, Internet options, update & was taken to www.update.microsoft.com so I may need to do a bit more. Now to see if I can get the latest Mozilla Firefox.

    This calls for a celebration or possibly a snooze.:)
