FireFox works, IE dosen't?

  1. I've been using FireFox for a while now and it works and runs fine. But sometimes I need to use IE to access certin pages. Well, IE dosen't connect or do any thing at all. It just acts as if I don't have an internet connection. While FireFox runs fine. What could be the problem with this?!

    proxy?

sounds trite, but make sure the settings from the working browser are copied into the alternate. unless you're in a corp environment, most users don't have a proxy setup, so specify 'direct connection' and let the browser directly access the gateway.

if you're running a 3rd party firewall, disable it and enable the freebe Windows Firewall. This will ensure the browser(s) are not being denied access.
