Fixing my Gateway monitor colors

So, I've had my Gateway monitor for about 5 years now, and when my computer gets fixed, the monitor's colors are ruined. Reds and oranges look the same and pink looks like it's white. The only colors that seem to display right are black and white. A normal blue will display right, but other blues look ugly. I was wondering if there was anyway to fix this before I go and buy a newer monitor. My monitor is a Gateway VX920.

I don't understand, is your computer causing the color problems or is your monitor just bad (without computer)?

Sounds like you need to adjust the colur properties on the adapter.

you dont give your systems specs so dont know what graphics adapter you have, but if you right click on an empty part of your desktop and select properties then settings and advanced, you should see tab or tabs where you can adjust colour, gama or some other display settings like the RGB (RED GREEN BLUE).

Well, it's like this. When I got my computer back, the monitor's color looked really bad. And it's been like this ever since.

Maybe the graphic card isn't pluged in all the way?
