flash drive

  1. undable to read flash drive. run win xppro. I tried other flash dirves in other usb ports and still unable to read. pluged in to other mach and was picked up.

    please help my nest resolve will be a hammer.

    Can you connect and use ANY USB devices on that machine at all? Do they show up in device manager? Is the device getting recognised but not assigned a drive letter (check in disk administrator, I've seen this before where the drive was recognised but persistantly not given a drive letter, I had to manually assign and then all was fine...)

    thanks for you insite the device man is showing the drive but it is not being *** a drive letter. the drive is not showing up in the disk man. how do i *** a letter?
