Do you need to format for drivers sake? going from geforce3 to Ati?

You'll probably be fine with using Detonator Destroyer to wipe out the Nvidia drivers. Then shut down and install the ATI card. Everything should go smoothly.

no need to format, just remove the GF3 card and its drivers completely.

Formatting is highly overused as a fix-all

I used the detonatoer destroyer once, and it returned with access voilation errors.

It removed nv_3.inf and nv_4.inf but thats it. Then it said access violation error. I think thats becuase I asked it to remove a file that was being used though.

Thanks fella's Ill let you know.
