freezing problem

    i recently had a freezing problem and was told it was my graphics card. but the problem only started after i put the dvd/cd drive in and the games freezed in about 30min of play. games such as alias and sims2 had no problems before i put the drive in. is it still the graphics card and if so is there any specific card i should get?
