Gateway Laptop M350 replaced heat/sink fan won't boot

I replaced the heat/sink fan in my Gateway Laptop, the computer would not do anything so I put the old fan back in. Now the computer sounds like it is booting up, the fan comes on, but it doesn't boot.

Can anyone help me?

Likely you have left something disconnected that you didn't notice... or it could be a wire pulled out of a plug, or a broken or crimped piece.
All of those actions and symptoms are related somehow, unless the hard drive just picked now to fail.

Just double checked, only unplugged the fan and couldn't see anything else that was plugged in under the fan. Guess I had no buisness fooling around inside the computer. Just thought it was gonna be a quick fix.
