I've joined the crowd of users who have this problem. I'm pretty technical, and have run thru a lot of the suggestions on the site, with no luck. Win XP Dell laptop. Upon bootup (normal start), The error titled Symantec AntiVirus: VP Tray.exe - Ordinal Not Found, with the text The ordinal 1109 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll. This error has an OK box, and repeats 3-4 times, then is gone.

I run Symantec Antivirus 2006 v10.1.6.6000 and it updated daily; full scan found no problems.
