Just how many wannabe criminals out there in the wild, leaves no question as to how US manages to top them all on the percentage of general population that's incarcerated.

As they say - fair game all around. Enjoy!

$260mil is nothing when you have $800 in 24hrs. Not counting running overheads like servers etc... that's enough for a few total flops on the scale of GTA5 in between releases.

  10. I got sucked in. I'm a PC gamer, but it's been unbearable waiting for the PC release in the past. I had to actually buy a PS3 to play it. However I may return the console and game within 30 days and buy my permanent copy once it's released on PC. Since buying a console for a single game is a bit retarded. :p

I got it on PS3 and bro got it on the Xbox, We both would also purchase it if they released it on PC!
Any who, The Xbox version is definitely lacking slightly, load times when switching characters is much slower, textures are visibly lower res, a lot more pop up occurs, draw distance is slightly less and the lighting seems to be completely missing in places. Hell even the frame rate seems to dip more often on the Xbox version. On the good side for the Xbox though, shadows are softer.

Looks like Rockstar have mastered the PS3 programming wise.

Now if only they would release a PC version so I can run it at 1440p with even better textures, even better draw distances and even faster load times / frame rates...

The game itself though is a master piece, I only have beef with one option, that is the "press "X" to skip mission". I'm sorry Rockstar, I know your trying to get noobs to play the game but skipping missions as easily as that is a step backwards, what made the series great was the fact you had to get good at them to complete them, this just allows anyone to complete the game without getting very good at it. I guess it will separate the men from boys online though...

Haha! If anyone here is rotten, its you dude, GTA isn't to be taken seriously, that's the beauty of it, it takes the mick out of pretty much everything.

If I was to take a guess, your one of those people that complain about nudity on the TV, Porn on the internet and yes, violence in games...

Could have been more $$$ if they just added PC to their releases. I'm stuck watching walkthroughs on YouTtube because I don't own either console.

  17. Ah pc whiners. It will eventually come I am sure. But sheesh moan much ?
The freaking game belongs on the Playstation franchise since GTA3 started there and was the milestone that changed everything. So es te ef ew.
It would be nice to see a fully controller enabled pc version. Modding this huge *** sandbox would be fun.
But the game itself, it is very same ol same ol with some small new things to do and what so far seems a really pants plot leaving me very uninterested in playing.

GTA has a stigma associated with it, not because it is necessarily all that violent, but because it was the first popular game of the violent/gangster genre. Some people who don't play GTA think those who do are the same types of people who'd love to pick up a rock in a riot and throw it through a window just because they could do it without getting caught. They think GTA players are repressed adults who've never grown up, who like the violence of GTA because it makes them feel tough when they otherwise don't.

That's the stereotype that goes with GTA. I know it's a load of bull shine because I've played a lot of WoW in my time, and I don't wear elf ears on the weekends or think women are supposed to weigh 110 pounds, sport a pair of giant knockers or wear an iron bikini. It's just a stereotype associated with the game and it's probably unfortunately true more often than it should be. For example, the misogyny in fantasy games is very real... probably because a lot of players of those games don't get to spend much time with real women and the fantasy is all they know.

It's also a bit of bad timing on GTA V. Aaron Alexis (the guy who shot up the Navy Yard this week) supposedly played violent video games 16 hours a day (he also heard voices in his head, but whatever). So video games may be under fire for the next few weeks by people without brains looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

So let the ignorant do their stereotyping... it helps them feel better about themselves.

Me too, I just can't bare the idea of how much fun id be having right now if my dear, sweet GTA 5 would be on my machine + I want to test my system with the new games. I guess il just have to wait for BF4 (though Arma 3 is giving my system a kicking, I NEED TO OC MOAH!).

Arma devs need a kicking for bringing out such as garbage engine. That **** is so unoptimized.

I bet if they had a PC version release the same day as the consoles they would of hit that $1B the first day considering these numbers.

I am waiting for a PC version... if none comes out, then oh well, guess I'll play other games.

  24. The only reason I would buy GTA V for the PC are to play it with mods.
