Guest replies causing alerts :)

Something has happened and I have received an alert for a Guest replying to watched thread! I'm not sure if it's happening for everyone or even 100% for me, so I'll keep an eye on it.

I think it's a good thing. When a guest posts, the notice gives you continuity.

Otherwise, you might have 5 posts by guests, and no notices until a member posted.

One supposes if anyone is interested enough to join a thread, they'd like to see it through to its conclusion

I always enjoy hearing what a guest has to say. Just because I normally disagree with them, there's no reason to suppress the whole "free speech thing...."

Yes, very good thing. If a Guest is the first person to reply, you won't get any notifications for that thread until you view it. I've lost track of plenty of threads this way.

You still got the email alert, but I'm talking about the website notifications.
