Halo problem initializing direct3d

    when i try to run Halo this message pops up

    A problem occured initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG.

    so i ran this DXDIAG and everything was fine. Another thing is that i can play any other 3d game, like roller coaster tycoon 3 and half life, without having this problem.

    Does anyone know how i can fix this?

    tried updating drivers and directx itself?

    maybe theres a patch for halo on the net with that fix..
