Hard Drive Erase

Does anyone know a good program to remove all data from a hard drive. I need something that is compatible for USB drives and boots from CD-rom. I have a large quantity of drives that need to be completely erased and I need verification that the erase was successful and no data remains on the drive.

Use Windows Format

You can Format all partitions in My Computer,except C:
The Windows OS partition.Just like a floppy format.
Are you sure theres nothing you want to keep,like pictures ?
Otherwise why do you have partitions ?

Multiple drives

I don't have partitions, I literally have multiple drives from multiple computers that were junked a long time ago. I have roughly 40-50 drives that are sitting around that need to be cleaned to insure NOTHING remains due to sensative data.

Thats a lot of drives

I'm sure it can be done if you have a Slave connection available.
Just connect 1,open My Computer and find it's drive letter.
Then format it.Then read it as blank,space available,
remove and connect the next 1.
Wrap them in aluminum foil and label to describe it's Brand and size.
Do you think you'll ever need these or are you selling them?

Format is totally useless for destroying data!
