Hello people,

i am using windows xp service pack 2, lately i've not been able to upload anything on the internet, i could not attach files in gmail, couldn't upload any photos in facebook or orkut, i was however able to download files.

to deal with this problem i used "combofix" and scanned my system, combofix downloaded "Windows recovery console" and after that the process halted because the system got hung up, I saw that there was no icon showing my 500 gb seagate hardrive (internal) in 'My Computer',
not knowing what to do I repeated the scanning process of 'Combofix' which completed successfully and it made a log report about it, but still my system doesnt detect my 500gb internal hard drive.....

When i restarted and went to the recovery console, I didnt know what to do, so I exit it and went into safe mode, from there I logged in as the administrator, to my surprise I found that the hardrive was there, and I could access it, I restored my system to the last date using 'System Restore' and I could use my Hard drive normaly.....

But then again, when my PC restarts it doesnt show any hard drive, DISK MANAGEMENT also doesnt show it,

anyone please help

my comp is

XP SP2
2gb RAM
Processor IntelCore2duo
CPU d945gcnl
INTEL Desktop motherboard
Nvidia graphics processor 512mb RAM series 8600GT

What is brand and model of computer, and the hard drive brand and model.
Usually this problem is coincidental with the ComboFix, and is really a problem with a failed or damaged hard drive.

My pc is assembled.

processor :- intel core 2 duo
Ram:- 2 gb.
hard drive :- seagate 500Gb
Cpu:- intel d945gcnl
Board:- Intel Desktop board

I Appreciate that.
but how it is shown when i was loged on in Safe mode As an administrator
