Have original Xbox and old CPU and need project ideas

  1. flacowade12 Newcomer, in training

    I have an Xbox (not 360) and an old computer and am in need of ideas and preferably a guide of something that i can build out of the old parts. The computer has a monitor and keyboard and the xbox has one controller. My major problem is I do NOT have a soldering iron so many project ideas are not possible for me. I would also like to keep this project low budget.

    Whats wrong with just soft modding it and getting emulators for older console systems and playing old ROMs?

    I've got xbmc on my old xbox but aside from when it was put on its never been wired. Now that I've ran Cat6 to my living room I should hook it up. Wonder if it would update after all these years (and presumably lots of revisions of xbmc).
