Having ram sticks with two different latencys

  1. I have a question, I have a 512mb 3 cas latency stick in my mobo right now, if i was to add a 2 cas latency stick will it work?

    If it does not very well. Not a good idea to mix them up.

    oh snap. not good then. Thanks I figured there would be something wrong with doing that.

    never mix and match ram speed, brands, or types. You're asking for trouble. All memory sticks should be the same if possible.
