Hello, I am new to the forums, but I am having serious trouble installing Windows XP Pro.

I bought all my computer parts from newegg, about a week ago. I put everything together, and seems to be running smoothly. I load up my computer and tried to install windows and it gets to %91 and freezes.

I'm wondering if the problem was in the windows CD or in the hard drive.

Try to do a memory test first and see if you get any erros. You can download the mem test at http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and extract the setup file for the floppy or the cd and run the install file to create a floppy drive memtest. If the mem test comes up clean try to get another copy of windows.

We can't download that because the computer that I am building ONLY has BIOS on it, so it can't even run the internet.

Use the computer you are on now to get memtest and make the cd or floppy.
