Having troubles installing my graphics card please help!!!

Hello i just recently bought a ATI x1600 pro graphics card and im having trouble with it. I've already installed the hardware into the computer but its not working, i dont know if its not in properly or what. I did also install the software. However i was never told on my computer that there was new hardware found, soo i dont know if its suppost to say something about that or not. I do know that my computer is still reading the intel 900 media accelerator graphics card that is in the computer, but it is intergrated. I've been reading around about similar problems but i think it be easier if someone just helped me instead of me reading around because i wont experince the same problems other people might of... so pleace help :)

btw my computer is a Vaio VGC Rb-30

OK clipo,
You are going to have to turn off the Intel 900 in the computers bios, and you might need to set the first video device to AGP from PCI in the bios. Also, you might need to run Windows Update and install Microsoft's .NET framework. You might want to go to the ATI website and download and install the latest driver from there. NET framework is available from ATI's site too

How do i do it in the bios, i've been there like a billion times already but i dont know exactly what to do in there? BTw my card is a pci express so would i still have to do that switch you talked about And another question how would i know if my card is installed properly
