Well to get acquainted my name is dafriz
My specs are
Asus A7V8X-X mobo, 512 ram, 40gig HD, nvidia tnt 64, onboard sound,
athlon XP 2600+
(made comp out of spare parts i had after building main comp)
I have a problem with the multimedia sound controller.. the onboard sound
I have the disc to the mobo and i can fully install the audio driver
which is Soundmax Adi 1880 integrated sound
.... I am up to my wits end.. im using XPHome SP2 and the other comp im also using the same sound ironically and with XPHome SP2 and it works..
I have not come up with any ways to fix it.. ive tried installing in safe mode
Ive tried installing so many different drivers than the one i originally got my head is spinning
Everytime i successfully install a driver it tells me to reboot after i reboot
i get the same error....
"No ADI codec driver"
If anyone knows how to solve this problem plz post... until then im rummaging through my comp parts to find a spare pci sound card i might have....
