Help!
When I play a game. watch a video, or sometimes just browse the web, the computer will freeze and have an audio loop. Then I have to turn it off with the power button and turn it back on. I've fixed all the registry, there are no viruses/spyware, and I'm just clueless. I've also cleaned the fans and made sure they were working. I'm kinda a newbie with computers.

I'm using a
dell inspiron 530
Windows XP version 2002 service pack 3
Nvidia geforce 8300 gs

if i need to include more stuff please tell me so you can help.

Okay, then let's try the following by updating your video card drivers. Follow these steps:

1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro (free version) to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Cleaner Pro. If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.

* Does this fix the freezing problem?
