Help installing winxp on laptop

Just purchased a second hand toshiba a200 laptop, its in excellent condition and it is running vista at the moment. Boots up fine and working fine, but when I go to install win xp from booting from cd, windows says it cant find any installed hard-drives. Any suggestions

If i remember correctly this model comes with a SATA HDD, and XP doesn't come with generic driver to work with these drives, so you have try to find if there is ATA or IDE emulation modes for HDD is available in the system BIOS

Sorry, One more thing ...... if that works please remember to re-format HDD otherwise it will not install.
