Help.. My computer cannot be turned on!

  1. Hello, all the bros here. I need some help on my CPU.

Firstly, my CPU has been working fine for the past 2 years. Recently, when i changed my resolution, my monitor would black out and hang there. But still i could hear the background music. After countering the same problem for 10 times, my CPU cannot be turn on. The fan is functioning but the LED lights above the button that turn on the CPU are not lighted.

I'm doubting its the monitor or the video card problem. So i test my monitor with another CPU, but it works fine. Therefore, i check out my video card. Its ATI Radeon 9600S. I unplug and plug it back. The red LED light is lighted but the green LED light doesn't.

So, is it the motherboard problem or the video card problem??

if your cpu isn't start then nothing will start
the video card is your problem
try to get other video card for test (old one or from friend) and see if it will work
also check that all the cables and connections are setup propperly

It could also be a power supply issue, in which the resolution problem is a mere coincidence as well. Try another power supply.

The problem is that he can't get the computer to turn on.
