    hello guys
    i have 40gb seagate hard drive but my mother can't detect it.
    i have genien intel motherboard version 2.1 , 550mhz
    proccssor,192mb ram ,32mb agp card . plz tell what should i do .

    Did you try going into the bios and setup it there? Also check the jumper on the back of the harddrive, and maybe change the ide cable position.. instead of the very end change it to the 2nd one.
