Y yusulphul Oct 12, 2006 #1 I av got a problem with my archos hard drive, anytime i switch it on it comes up with a message "Cant read from hard drive with option to format". i av formatted it so many times now and still doesnt work.can any1 help me pls, thank you

N3051M Posts: 2,094 +3 Oct 12, 2006 #2 run a disk diagnostic test on the hdd from the manufacturer's website and it'll tell you if its dead or recoverable.. if its dead then send it back for warranty etc..

I don't really know how it works, but does it require drivers or special software to access? This may be a reason why. Does your player work on its own? Can you browse and manipulate your files on the unit itself? ... or do you have a different model and maybe just made a typo?
