I've been using the wifi for my internet connection on my mobo. I want to run some long ethernet cables from the router in another room to my system.

Ive been reading up on ethernet cables, obviously some have faster transfer rates than others. Can someone make some suggestions to a fast version of the cord(preferable the fastest one I can get) so I can run two of these to my mobo. All help is appreciated, thx.

All ethernet cables are rated for the same speed according to class. I don't think anyone would sell you anything less than CAT5(E) - this is good for gigabit up to 100m. No cable will gove you more - you need fibre optics or repeaters for that.

Unless you abuse the wire (crush, bend, cut, etc), any will do. You may want to get shielded for outdoor or electrically noisy environents. Stranded is easier to route and work with since it's softer.
