Hey all... I have a frustrating issue on my hands and I need some help.
I have an XP machine, SP3 with 2gb ram, GA-EP45-UD3p Board, and an NVIDIA 9900GT card.
After some time (Like a night) it just reboots. Sometimes it does it within a couple hours, sometimes in days. I turned on MiniDump recording, yet there are no Minidump files. There is no BSOD either.
What I have done so far:
1) Replaced the RAM. I put in RAM from my other computer that works great. no joy.
2) Replaced Video card with an 8800 from my other coputer thatworks...still testing this on.
3) Updated ALL the drivers and firmware and Bios
4) Tested all memory and it tested fine
If it reboots again tonight, I have no idea as the video card swap was my last option.
It always seemed to do this reboot thing even after I built the machine.
Whats really frustrating is that I cant get a stupid crash dump file to even troubleshoot! Also, I did turn off the Auto Reboot option with no luck either..it still reboots.
Does anyone have any other thoughts or suggestions?
I have Norton anti-virus installed...would that make a difference? Also, this happened after a fresh install so its not a program that I downloaded....
Arrgggg... please help.
