  1. Yesterday, for some reason, I couldn't access hotmail through firefox

Every time I tried I got the message

    'This page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.'

    not sure whats going on

Can you now access Hotmail through FF?

If so, then it`s very likely it was either a problem with the Hotmail website or some kind of glitch in FF

    Regards Howard :)

    No

    Still getting the same message

I can get into it through internet explorer but really don't like using that!

    Ok, try this.

In FF, click Tools/Clear Private Data/Clear Private Data now.

See if that helps at all.

If Not, run the Ccleaner programme as per step9 of the instructions in this thread.

    Let me know the outcome.

    Regards Howard :)

Is there any reason that when I click on the Start button in the bottom left of the screen, I don't get a list of my recently opened programs?
Have I deleted something I shouldn't have with crap cleaner?

Run Ccleaner and on the windows tab, untick start menu shortcuts and desktop shortcuts. Close Ccleaner.

Now when you use a programme, it should show up in your start menu.

    Regards Howard :)

Run Ccleaner again and under the Windows tab, untick Other Explorer MRU`s. See if that helps.

    Regards Howard :)

    thanks Howard

    Something weird is happening

I opened a few programs. Call of Duty II. That came up in the start menu
Then i tried the CCleaner again and that came up in the start menu
I then opened autocad, and then when I looked in the start menu it was blank again

Its just the recently used programs part of the start menu that is blank
Should I do a system restore?
