How do I change a channel

Hi,
since installing windows 10 update 2 weeks ago I have had nothing but trouble,I cant get into websites keeps coming up with site taking too long to respond,someone suggested I change the channel as in settings mine shows channel 1 My wireless wifi often goes off and I have to turn off before I turn on again and sometimes get going again I dont know how to change channel can you help I have tried so many things I forget what I have tried

Find and Download inSSIDer. Install and make your wifi connection.
Click the NETWORK tab to see all the nearby routers and the Channels they use.

Then pick a channel with the fewest users.

I cant even download inssider it just keep trying to connect, my wifi shows its on and secured,this is my problem I cant get webpages

Then CHANNELs per se are not your problem. Try this
get a command prompt and enter

ping www.techspot.com​

you should see
