How do I delete a contact (email address) in gmail?

This don't work

1. In Gmail, in the top-left corner, click on the dropdown arrow next to Gmail (for some, it may say Mail) and choose Contacts. Then click into the contact that you want to delete.
2. You have a few options. I've tried others here, https://www.google.com/search?q=del...ome..69i57.18660j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 they don't work either

Video was posted almost 2 yrs ago (Nov 2016) New Version of Gmail which has the Big "M" envelope on your Google Page doesn't show a Pulldown list to delete contacts, etc. Wish they would have just left the old version...Don't fix what isn't broken Google

click the 9 dots - top right then scroll down to contacts then drag the icon up to the top
