How Do I Put The Operating System On A Partition?

  1. I Have Windows Vista Installed Already,but I Want My Vista To Be On A Partition,so That If I Need To Reinstall,i Wont Lose My Personal Files

    How Do I Do This?

    How big is the HDD?

    There are programs that can do this Partition Magic just to name one... They way to do it for free is when you first install VISTA you would partition the HDD say it'was 320GB you could make one 100GB for C: and 189 for D:

    cant i just make the D: 20 gigs? since Vista will only take up less than 20 gigs...

    hardrive is 250 gb....

    so should i reformat the drive? and when im about to install vista i just partition 1st?
