How do I transfer info from my desktop to my new laptop

    I've read about a Flash Plug/ Flash cord. Could you tell me the proper way to do it?

    There are tons of ways you can move those files. Some of them:

    - get a cross-link cable and network between the two
    - get an external hard-drive
    - get an external flash-drive
    - upload the files to webserver and download them on the laptop
    - burn the files to cd or dvd and read it on the laptop
