How do you remove the metal cooling case of RAM?

I recently received 2 one gig ram sticks.
However.. the cooling metal casing is too bulky to fit into my computer slots.
the ram is corsair - CM2X1024-6400C5DHX
Is it possible to remove the metal casing?

Hello there, I found this simple guide to removing the Heatspreaders on RAM modules.

It is important to note that removing the heatspreader will most probably void the warranty of the RAM.
