How do you stop spam?

It's all in how you use email:
Learn to setup email filters to deposit email from known sources into specific folders. This will leave UNKNOWN emails in the inbox.
You can then select-delete lots of them easily.
I use a filter to move email targeted to xxx@adelphia.net directly to a _junk folder and mark them as junk. WHY? it's an email address from 5 years ago and I no longer in use it and therefore it is spam.
Also filters like from contains @spammers.com go directly to trash.
- don't add multiple users to the TO: line. Instead, use the BCC: line when sending to several users.
- don't forward email which has multiple recipients - - you are giving email addresses away
- never show your email in any online blog
- Use ONE email address for your close friends, bank accounts and
- ANOTHER for online sites like TS.
