How to recover the corrupted MPEG files

    I lost the video files which ae in MPEG format by FORMATTING my hard disk unknowingly.Later I recovered by using RECOVER MY FILES software.But the files not being played by any video player including VLC.I tried to repair those by VCD gear, MPEG corrector, Virtualdub etc.But no use.Actually those videos are shooted by using digicam and edited by MPEG-VCR s/w. Please suggest me how to repair those files.Thank you.

    How did you (re)format the hard drive unknowingly? Was there some reason you did the format?
