    inspiron e1405 bios password

no longer boot or even enter bios setup of the locked laptop (dell Inspiron E1405 using same board as 640M)) so I tried to find the EEPROM written 24xxxxx in the motherboard. But I could not find the chip. Before I go ahead, I just want to know if this model can be solved with the shortening the bios chip. If it's possible please anyone tell me where the right chip is and the name of the chip or help me to find the master password.

I think I found the chip still unsure of doing it. The chip says-
    ATMEL 344
    24C04N
it has 8 legs and has "UPW1" printed on the MB it self. Is this the right chip? Which legs do I short? I was hoping to get a passcode instead of doing it this way.
