i am buying a wireless router. can i also set it up to be an access point for webcast

hi guys, my setup before was cable modem box outputs to hub. port 1 outputs to my computer. port 2 outputs to my wireless access point so i could roam my house. but to do that i have to pay brighthouse roadrunner for 2 ip addresses because i do an online sex webcam for partime work...please stop giggling...lol...anyway i know that using just a wireless router doesnt work because the website host cant see my webcam feed upload. i thought i read somewhere that i can setup my wireless router to be my hub and wireless access point. am i making apples taste like apples here? thanks...

Using just the router (and one IP address) should work just fine. You may have to configure some port forwarding and triggers - your website host should be able to help you with the details.

Some routers are clever enough to be able to use several external IP addresses too. Again, you ought to consult someone for the details and help on how to make it go.
