Can you check my Mom's laptop HJT log?

She had alot of viruses because she was running crapware Norton then I ran alot of AVG scans and all that but wanted to make sure if it is clean now or not :)

The log looks ok but for this entry - O20 - AppInit_DLLs:

I can find no conclusive information on it, it would be best to wait for Howard's experienced eye to have a look at it.

Run HJT with no other programmes open. Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

O20 - AppInit_DLLs:

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT and reboot your system. Run a HJT scan and see if that entry has gone. If it has, you`re good to go. If it`s still there, please post back with a fresh HJT log.

Ok well I deleted but I got this message after deleting it:

An unexpected error has occurred at procedure: modBackup_MakeBackup(sItem=O20 - AppInit_DLLs: )
Error #5 - Invalid procedure call or argument

Please email me at merijn@spywareinfo.com, reporting the following:
* What you were trying to fix when the error occurred, if applicable
* How you can reproduce the error
* A complete HijackThis scan log, if possible

Windows version: Windows NT 5.01.2600
MSIE version: 6.0.2900.2180
HijackThis version: 1.99.1

This message has been copied to your clipboard.
Click OK to continue the rest of the scan.

That`s just a small bug in HJT and happens from time to time, so it`s nothing to worry about.

Has the entry now gone?

Regards Howard :)

The O20 - AppInit_DLLs: Could have been legit, but it could also have been nasty. Because there was no name following the entry, it`s hard to be sure and that`s why I had you fix it.

Regards Howard :)
