Icon text colours!

i run win2k SP4 and change my background often - the only problem i have is that the text on icons always has a solid block of colour behind it. i no this colour can be changed but does anyone no of anyway to remove it - because it is removed in winxp and it really annoys me having to look at it.

Windows XP has features built into it that are part of Microangelo. this is why you can remove the background color in XP. I don't think 2k has this built in to it. I'm sure there are third party apps that can do this for you, or you could get Microangelo, but its a little pricy just to do that.

ok - anyone recommend me a third party program - i have one - transicons but that automaticly closes for no apartent reason as soon as u launch a game/change reso/refresh the desktop etc
