Intelligent wireless problems

Hi,ive recently got hold of a intelligent wireless mouse and keyboard (sorry but thats the only description i can give you.Its all it says on reciever sorry!!!) but when i set it up and turn on theres no response.Do i need to configure anything.I appreciate any positive thoughts on this one.Thanx.

what happens when you plug in the USB receiver and press the connect button (if any)? lights?

May need driver. Find out if there's a model no. or manufacturer marking and google for it.

Yes theres lights and i think this was working with the last owner (i bought it second hand as a full pc set up).
