I m going to overclock my MSI Radeon 9800pro (just bought 4 days ago) bcoz i m not getting good performance from it. What r the advantages and disadvantages of overclocking. From where can i get the bios of Radeon XT to overclock it into my 9800pro.

Well, overclocking video cards is MUCH easier than overclocking CPUs, and there is less risk of damage as well because vid cards let you know immediately when you have gone to far.

But before overclocking, you should try tweaking your game settings first. http://www.tweakguides.com/

If you do decide to oc your vid card, first you have to be sure you have good cooling for your case. And in order to be able to flash the bios to the 9800XT, you have to first be sure you have the R360 chipset (not the R350).

If you OC it, you'll get a little more kick out of it, but don't expect too much.
