I was working on a word document within one of my 'job folders' in my documents last week. This morning i turn on my computer and go to the folder and its gone. Now the folder was one of about 5 within the one job folder, and its the only one missing (of course this is the important one). Its not in the recycle bin (which hasn't been deactivated), its not hidden (i've gone into the tools and selected show hidden folders), i've tried searching all files, folders and hard drives on the computer. It was in recent documents but it can't find the file location. No i haven't done a backup since i created this folder.

    Help!!

Try to use recovery software. E.g. Recuva. It is free. This app will show you the files you can restore and it is possibale tht you'll see the one you need.
