Jarred where you put in cd to burn it and it is stuck

I bumped my leg against where you put the cd in to burn it and now it keeps moving in and out about a quarter of an inch. It just goes back and forth. How can I fix it ao that it works again? I need help!

Take the CD drive out of the computer, open it up and see if there are any obvious mechanical problems like dislodged gears or something similar.
