  1. NV30 Newcomer, in training

    So my current system (at least CPU/RAM/MB) might be sold at a very nice price, so I'm thinking about going with AMD64. Would it make sense to get a 3000+ now with 512MB of RAM and then later on this year get a 939 CPU and PCI-X board and VC? Or should I just stick with what I have until that point? What sort of prices are the 939 boards coming with?

    I see little point to buy a new system now only to replace it after some six months or a year.
    I suggest you just stretch your current rig with some upgrades maybe and then get a serious box later.
