Laptop mobo chip heating up

Hi everyone I have an old laptop presario cq61.
The laptop worked normaly until couple days ago it stopped working. After opening it up I fond out when I plug in the power a chip on the motherboard labeled isl6262 acrz ho949bct3 heats up ultra fast like instantly when I plug in the power it gets untouchable.

I dont know is it worth fixing or should I just throw it, if it is explain me how plz

Regulator - gets hot - I'm no EE, but it looks like this kind of chip can take up to 100C - you can cook a couple of eggs on this ( http://www.datasheetlib.com/datasheet/67509/isl6262acrz_intersil.html ). Just temp is not a good test.
