Laptop screen spazzes out and puslates

So, recently, my laptop computer's screen has been exhibiting very odd behavior. At random times, at random intervals, the screen will suddenly begin to pulsate and "spazz out" if you will. The spazzing is a burst of bright, pulsating pixels that either partially or completely obscure the picture on the screen. When this first started happening, they never lasted for more than a fraction of a second, but they are becoming much longer. There seems to be nothing that I do in particular that causes this. It doesn't necessarily happen when I, for example, play a game with intense graphics. Nor does it necessarily happen when my computer is hot ( I have a core thermometer installed to prove this). It doesn't seem to specifically be caused when I move the computer around. Recently, the "attacks" have been getting more frequent and more violent, but I'm just not sure what causes it. An attempted screenshot of the issue returned a normal-looking screen, so I don't think it's a virus.

Here's a YouTube link to a video I caught of it:
The pulsating starts at 1:20. Sorry about Brand New in the background.
