  1. Over the past couple of months there have been widespread rumors suggesting one of two upcoming Nexus devices will be produced by LG. Today we're potentially seeing this LG Nexus smartphone in the wild for the first time, thanks to a covertly-snapped photo posted on Google+.

The photo shows the rear of what's expected to be the new LG Nexus 5, and it's understandably plastered with barcodes and a large "Not For Sale" sticker. The most interesting aspect of the phone's back panel appears to be a protruding camera array, as well as a circular fingerprint scanner positioned below it.

This latest photo of the 2015 Nexus 5 matches renders posted last week that were based upon "detailed factory schematics provided to accessory-makers". The renders show a device with USB Type-C and dual front-facing speakers, with a total body thickness of 9.8mm at its thickest point.

Previous rumors have suggested that the new Nexus 5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, and will feature a 5.2-inch display. The device will be launched alongside a larger handset, which is expected to be produced by Huawei.

Huawei's Nexus device will reportedly come with a 5.7-inch 1440p display and a Snapdragon 810 SoC on the inside. Both LG and Huawei's Nexus handsets will launch with Android M on-board sometime towards the end of the year, with an announcement hopefully not too far away.
