Learning about Networking

  1. I am interested in computer networking and would like to learn more about it. I'm already attending a community college majoring in computer networking.

What else can I do? Any books that could be suggested to me? I'm trying to make good use of my 4-week school break that is coming up. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

QUE Computer/Networking Books are good. Any Borders an etc.. book store has a huge IT section. Go for your MSCE exam. Once you get that then get a part time job working for Networking Service so you can learn the ropes in real-time with experts in the business. You'll need 3 years min to 5 years full experience. But still attend the College because BS, BA looks good on your resume along with MSCE. So you can land that well high paying Network Engineer Job. Good Luck!
